This post made me laugh! I think it's so funny seeing history displayed on social media. There's a few I've seen like this. Off the top of my head, there's one where Abraham Lincoln doesn't want to go to the theater with his wife.
It's kind of messed up, but it's funny. I can't find a direct source for the image, so I'm not sure if it's a meme account or what. Here's a few more. The Caesar one stands out to me.
I love the Crash Course series! I don't watch them often, because I'm not subscribed. They post a lot and it clutters my feed, but when they show up in my algorithm I watch them! This one is about American flood myths. I love learning about flood myths, I think it's so interesting that every culture has one, and they're all variations of spiteful or angry gods unleashing chaos unto the world. I have one on my storybook project about Shiva.
This video was so interesting, I think Gustav's paintings are so beautiful. I love watching videos like this, I think they're so relaxing and a great way to learn about artists I didn't know about!
I made it through week 2! I meant to work further ahead, but some personal things happened and I was set back. But that's ok! I have more chances to work ahead.
This week had so many interesting posts and graphics. The graphic from the stream I especially liked was this one:
An inscription of an owl from Ancient Egypt — so cool! I love love love Ancient Egypt. My Dad and I used to hang out and watch documentaries about the Pharisees and whatnot, so I get taken back to those times when I see things associated with it.
I really like crash course's videos — they got me through astronomy. This video was really cool. I love that they mention the triple goddesses. I've seen the triple goddesses in so many cultures, and I find it incredibly interesting when cultures have these sort of cognates within their myths or culture. The Great Flood myth comes to mind.
Overall a really cool video, and I'm probably going to binge the rest of the Goddesses videos they have.
